I don't normally write reviews and feel compelled to owe this product due to several previous unsubstantiated and in my opinion unfair reviews. Exactly as described, these sponges soften up (hooray!) the first time you use them and hold their shape. Are they for life? No, that's why you're buying 24 per pack. But they last a lot longer than some previous commented. A frayed spine won't damage the Teflon and they're comfortable to hold, not too big and not too small. Will buy again in about 6 months, that's how long it will take me to use them. If you're not skinning a dragon, these sponges may not be for you. You decide everything else!
