Actually the adhesive is good, but a little TOO good. I don't recommend using the included adhesive if you plan to use it on any sort of drywall or other surface that could become damaged. I made this mistake when I attached my shelves and realized after the fact that they were too high. Despite having just applied them, they had adhered pretty quickly to the drywall. So when I attempted to gently remove them, chunks of drywall came off along with the shelves. Some spackle and paint fixed it right up, but I wasn't going to make that mistake again. I decided to use Command Strips instead for my second application. They hold just as well and I have piece of mind that they won't damage my walls.
