You are sharp. I can ensure you.

At $17 these knives are incredibly affordable. They are easy to use and incredibly sharp. BE CAREFUL! After a few months with them I wasn't careful anymore and hastily washed the 4 inch knife and it slipped to the second knuckle on my index finger. He immediately cut through all the layers, I didn't even feel it. That being said, their sharpness makes them a pleasure to work with and I still love them because of it. You can slice ripe cherry tomatoes without breaking them, slice almost anything into strips without tearing them - they're great and cut down on cooking time. Just make sure you use safe shearing methods and wash with the care they deserve. I also run mine in the dishwasher and they hold up great. I have removed many of our old metal knives as we downsize things in the kitchen to the ones we use. I like that they come with a basic sheath and don't require a large block to hold them. Since it's only a set of (3) - 4, 5 and 6 inches - I figured I'd be missing a large salad knife etc. Not really! I've found that knives work best when I use the smallest possible (same force on a shorter blade length = more cutting force per inch on a smaller blade compared to a larger one, at least that's my theory). I use the 4" and 5" the most and the 6" easily cuts large pieces. I recommend these 100% without reservations!
