I bought this mattress for my 4 year old son and we both love it. First it came sealed in plastic, in a medium sized box. The packaging quality is excellent. It includes a tiny flat cutter to ensure you don't damage your mattress when opening it. The moment we opened the plastic, the mattress disintegrated without effort. There was a plastic smell but it was gone after half an hour. The quality of the mattress itself is excellent. Our whole family lay down, including the baby, who rolled back and forth on the super soft and comfortable surface. My son has slept on it ever since. It's softer, so it's not a very cooling gel in that sense. We live in the desert and the heat is an issue, but we didn't notice much of a difference. Still, this is an excellent orthopedic mattress and it doesn't come cheap. I'll definitely use it again the next time I need it.
