Panasonic RR-930 Transcriber Review

I was excited to get a new unit as Panasonic discontinued this model. This model has better clarity than most other comparable transcriber types and transcribes cassettes with broken plastic parts or wrinkled tapes 99% of the time where other brands can't decode. I have several transcribers working for me and they often return tapes that their machines can't play, but the Panasonic RR-930 will almost always play, 99% of the time it will play the tapes unless the tape is torn in two. I rarely have to return a diagnostic tape to my doctor because of a bad cartridge or tape problem. I am sorry to hear that Panasonic is no longer making this model as we have several doctors who have not left. digital way and still prefer tape.

Pros
  • Tape Speed Control
Cons
  • Socket Required
