Review on LASFIT Plug & Play LED Third Brake Center High Mount Stop Light Bulbs, Red Light, for 921 912 W16W Socket by Kyle Salinas

I was looking for a quality LED replacement for the high mount brake light on my car. LEDs offer major advantages over halogen bulbs: - Instant on (extra security). - Less power consumption. - More brightness. - You should last longer. First I tried a few LED bulbs before settling on this pair. I found that many Chinese lamps that had great reviews but failed within a few weeks were too big. or looked dim and I didn't want to risk it, Osram W16W red LEDs were my first choice but they were too expensive for my budget so I went with this American brand. They arrived as described. The LED chip is similar in size and shape to the original halogen bulb as you can see in the photos. I've tried taking pictures comparing the light output of halogen and LED chips and they seem to be pretty good. I took these photos in the shade during the day, I will try to take some photos at night to compare the light output. BENEFITS - Perfect fit, same size as the original 921 bulb. - Excellent light output (intense red light), LED chips are in the same position as the filament in analog halogen bulbs, this improves the efficiency of the reflector assembly. - Good quality, they feel well built. CONS - As with a halogen bulb, the LED chip gets hot but you can still touch it, unlike a halogen bulb which heats up fairly quickly. In general I am very satisfied with the appearance. and performance of this LED upgrade. Let's hope these LEDs last a long time, I'll try to update the review in the future.
