Review on Bostitch Antimicrobial Manual Sharpener MPS1 BLK by Summer Hendricks

Great little sharpener. But if you trusted the product description and expected the mussels to come with the sharpener, you will be very disappointed. This sharpener doesn't come with shells (or clips, for that matter). It comes with three small screws which I think would be perfect if used for permanent mounting. But in my case I didn't want to ruin a quality table with screw holes suitable for permanent attachment. I would rather go for a clamp that could be used to hold it against the edge of a table. It even has a clip mounting hole in the base! Although I checked on Revain and also on the Bostitch website there was no option to buy a clamp. After googling for some time I came across a great clip from Carl Manufacturing who make a clip for their A-5 pencil sharpener which is great for that. For about $3, they ship it via USPS First Class. Received it earlier today and holds the sharpener perfectly. Aside from the frustration of the clamp, everything else works very well with the sharpener. I hope this helps someone who doesn't want to permanently install a sharpener find a suitable alternative! I had to deduct one star because of the misleading description and lack of consideration of what might be useful for the buyer.
