This is an adorable little bird toy that will keep young children very entertained. I recently gave this to my daughter for her 5th birthday and she loves it. My daughter destroyed the packaging and instructions before I could photograph her, but this is a pretty basic toy. The packaging is a little annoying, like a lot of other toy packaging, if I remember correctly. There is an on/off switch on the underside. When it's on, it doesn't necessarily make noise all the time. You activate it by touching or "stroking" your back. He does several different chirps and chirps a little tune after petting him a few times. He shakes his head from side to side and his mouth opens slightly from time to time. When you press a front panel button, audio is recorded for up to 10 seconds. Just keep in mind that your child may find this amusing and will be screaming and laughing all the time if they hear their recording in a higher pitch. My daughter loves it and I am happy. I wish there were batteries included. It would also be nice if there were at least one other feature, like lights or moving wings. I like that the bird is made of smooth plastic and not fluffy or feathered. This way it is easy to disinfect. The only flaw I noticed was the broken plastic on the underside of one of the legs as shown in my photos - I don't really care. My daughter has a similar toy from a different brand in the store. her father's house, and I like this one better and I think it's prettier. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind their child having a potentially noisy toy.
