Electric motor broke on day 31

I really like this jack. The speed is good and he seems to be very well built. This morning after lifting the jack all the way up (can't raise the jack) the motor has power but the gearbox is locked and won't move in any direction. The warranty requires me to pay shipping and freight both ways if the one year warranty is not honored. I am waiting for the carrier's reply on how to solve this problem. I hope this is a positive experience. UPDATE: Due to a defect on day 31, I have the option to return it to the factory at my own expense and wait an unknown amount of time for resolution. Alternatively, Rigid Hitch (my seller) accepts returns with a minimum fee of 15% and a maximum restocking fee of 50%. The definition is how far from new the condition of the product is after return. So I can lose property up to $100 in 31 days. Given that the hand crank costs $40, I regret my decision to purchase this unit. I installed it on a trailer that weighs 1800 pounds unloaded and can carry up to 2000 pounds. It's used a lot so I used this connector and I liked its performance. It is in very good condition and has not been abused. If you decide to buy a Husky Power Jack or rigid towbar, it is wise to consider the cons. A defect beyond my control would leave the running costs significantly higher than the selling price. And the lack of a working clutch is an additional problem that takes a lot of time. There are other options, and that's why I wish you better luck than me.

Pros
  • 18" full travel with 6" adjustable kickstand reduces jack setup time and reduces engine wear
Cons
  • Quick guide
