Review on πŸ• Winco Premium Pizza Pan Gripper: Lightweight Cast Aluminum Solution for Easy Pizza Handling by Julie Howard

sucks - pizza pans and stones

Not happy with it. The first thing I noticed was a chipping metal coating - I don't want it on my client's pizza, but I really didn't care. Of course they hold a deep pan pretty tight, but the design is so clumsy. Imagine holding the scissors in front of you and then bending your wrist to point them at the floor. The handle works well when you're holding the pizza low, e.g. B. on the bottom rack of a low oven, but if you hold the pan high or straight in front of you as if you were taking the pan out of a real pizza oven, an awkward position is created. bend the wrist or raise the elbow. You can flip it like other stainless steel pan handles and put the flat part in the pan instead of outside, but the flat part then crushes the tender, high crust around the rim of the deep pan. They only seem good for lifting or holding objects at waist height or low to the ground like a blacksmith forging a sword, not from a large commercial pizza oven or even a service counter. I will order stainless steel vertical cymbal grippers which work much better and I will return them - faulty design and they don't work. Also, the handles have a bad smell, I mean they stink! The smell of a handful of old coins. I assume it's nickel plated aluminum? Stainless steel vertical handles or nothing. A slightly different design would greatly improve the functionality of this product.
