You just have to have the willpower to close it because once it's closed, don't enter! Unless you break! The lid must be opened immediately upon receipt, because if it arrives with the lid closed, you cannot get caught in it! It comes with a button in the lid in a small hole. So when you receive it and the button is not fixed in the case, you will have to replace it because it will not work. I did a few test runs, I set the timer to a minute without putting anything in it just to make sure it worked and I didn't get banned. It is also advisable to replace the batteries if they are used frequently because if the batteries run out and it is closed you will not hit it anymore! I gave it 4 stars because the instructions aren't that great other than it's amazing and does the job! Also blocks up to 900 hours!
