Hello, welcome to my review of Thermaltake Water 3.0 280 Red Edition. This is my first liquid cooler so I was very pleased to receive it. At least the installation annoyed me, but I was relieved when it was finally installed. As I said, this is my first AIO. How I installed: I had to install a heatsink on the front of the case as my case didn't allow it to be top mounted. Usually when I see a front mounted AIO, the fans are on the outside and the heatsink is on the inside. So if you look into the case through the side panel, you'll see the heatsink, not the fans. I figured there's no reason to use cool LED fans if you can't see them, so I put the fans in, which I think is a pull configuration. If you look at the pictures I posted, the logo is upside down, which looks cool, but it's not intentional. If I wanted the logo to look right then the radiator hoses had to come out from the bottom, I tried that but they didn't reach the processor and my graphics card was interfering. And that's why I flipped it so the hoses come out at the top and that's why the logo is upside down lol. How it works: That's what matters. How good is this cooler? That's great. Cools the processor very well. With no overclocking I was idling around 18 degrees, my old generic Cryrorig H5 which was a great cooler was idling around 28 degrees. I stress tested the processor using the Intel Extreme Utility software. I let it run for several hours and at 100 percent load the temperature did not rise above 70 degrees. Then I decided to overclock the processor in the bios to 4.6 GHz, my idle temperature reached 25-38 degrees, no need to worry. Obviously the cooler is only as good as other factors to consider such as cooler temperature. the space your computer is in, cable routing, rotation speed, and so on. I am very happy with the performance of this liquid cooler, it looks very nice and is worth the money. Thank you for reading.
