I have 4 chihuahuas that I feed raw. I use powdered bone broth and mix it directly into their feed. Another brand of bone broth I've used recommended a tablespoon, while this bone broth recommends a much smaller amount (I don't remember the exact amount), but for that reason the smaller bottle lasts as long or longer than the larger one ( 8 oz) bottle of my old brand. One issue I have with this product is that it doesn't contain black pepper. When I first started researching turmeric for both humans and pets, I found that some form of black pepper was added to most foods to help the body utilize turmeric. I don't know if there really is a small amount of pepper in this product and they just forgot to list it or is there a reason they didn't include it? Also, it seems like a good product and my girls love it, even my eldest who is 18.5 years old! The other 3 are also old, one is 13 years old and the last 2 are from her first litter of puppies 11.5 years ago. I wish I could say that they have aged because I fed them so well but the opposite is actually true until 6 months ago I only fed them cereal leaving behind a few bowls of food 24/7 have. Since I put her on raw food, I feed her once a day and weigh her food, everyone gets the amount according to their weight, I had put on weight one of the youngest (11.5 years old) who was too skinny, and her mother, who was too fat lost some weight! For anyone who has ever thought about feeding their dogs raw food, let me tell you the difference is amazing. it can! In just six months my girls have a lot more energy and their coats look better. The eldest, 18.5 years old, even her smell changed before she smelled death around her, she didn't smell like a dog but something dead! After switching to raw food a month later, I noticed that she smelled like a dog again, and while she still had arthritis in her back, she went from barely walking to almost running!
