If like me you're replacing old 3" cans, take the 3.5 with these headlights, they completely cover the hole, 3" headlights not t. so you don't see imperfections on your wall and don't go blind. The connection is easy, I preferred to use the rotatable plugs instead of the push pins that came with it. The flashlight itself is lightweight and very easy to fit into a hole thanks to the strong springs that hold it in place and it sits flush with no gaps. All in all it's a great value, my hardware store had one of these for $18 so do the math. I am very happy that I will be buying more and find that they are great with dimmer and bright
