Review on 🚿 Moen 82304SRN Engage Magnetix Handshower and Rainshower Combo with Magnetic Docking System, Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Finish by Keith Leach

I've always liked Moen products. They are easy to install and good value for money. I currently live in 20+ yr. old house and wanted to update the bathroom/shower fixtures. The current tub spout configuration is 1/2" sliding copper tubing. The previous (old) tub spout included an adapter (insert) that fit into the spout and screwed onto it, allowing the spout to be a tight fit with no leaks. The tub spout, marked MOEN 82304SRN, Engage, is designed for 1/2" male pipe threads and does not include an optional snap-fit pipe adapter. I ended up going to Lowe's and bought a spout that worked for an additional $35 and that additional purchase does not have quite the same brushed nickel finish as the MOEN product. Not a big deal as it is an additional bathroom. However, it is very disappointing that this adapter option is NOT EVEN PROVIDED BY MOEN. MOEN should provide it for its customers do better by offering an optional adapter to match their product and include a better description of their product to make it clear that a faucet adapter required for slip-fit tubing.
