My cats have been wearing these bow ties for a month now and surprisingly they still look new. They've broken a few collars over the years, but not this one. The safety trigger seems to be a little less sensitive than the others. My cat is a stripper when I'm not home, and several times a week I come home to find her collar on the floor by her cat post. But this light green one she's wearing now never came off. or she stopped doing the striptease. I love bow ties on cats and they are just right for a medium sized cat. UPDATE 10/31/19: My cats are still wearing these collars and look brand new. But I adopted an orphaned kitten a week and a half ago, and my cat's collar kind of got stuck in his mouth. It's tight enough that this doesn't happen. I'm tending the kitten and I hear my girl call 911 from the other room. So I take the kitten back to the aviary and run to check on my girl, usually on her cat perch, and tug on the collar that's a bit high in her mouth. When I reach out to help him pull it out, she usually pulls it out herself, jumps off the tower, and moves on to other shenanigans. So just something to be aware of. I haven't noticed any problems with the collar on my cat.
