Review on Michelangelo Delta Bike Stand by Tommy Hilmy

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Don't waste time with this bike rack

I had high hopes for this bike rack. All the reviews say that despite the flimsy looks, the stand is undeniable and works great. NOT RIGHT. I have a small hybrid special bike, nothing special. My friend has a medium mountain specialty bike. Small to medium sized bikes seem like reasonable expectations for this bike, but we couldn't get it to hold the bikes in place. It looks like the old reviews were made before they changed the materials? The stand I received didn't have the red parts like the other photos. The gray handle meant to hold everything in place doesn't do anything. When we put the bike on the rack, the levers on the frame start to slide so both levers are on the same side, then the bike slides off completely and one wheel rests sadly on the ground. Attempting to mount a second bike on top is even more disastrous as this bike does exactly the same thing and it fatigues against the bottom bike looks awful and I might as well have the bikes propped against the wall. Arms wider apart, the bike switched places, but with the arms slipping and sliding where they wanted, it just didn't work. Such a hassle and waste of time to get it back. I'm disappointed as I was looking forward to not having to mount anything for indoor bike storage. The search continues.
