So I had to watch LOTS of YouTube videos to find out for myself. That's what I want to say about this product. Overall I think my controller turned out really cute! Basically I liked it BUT BUYER BEWARE IF YOU HAVE OCD LIKE ME. The button layout and D-Pad are a little loose / don't fit quite right. I would guess it's definitely a production issue. But back to why the model number matters; If you have a touchpad controller that just "lights up" and doesn't match the model number listed in the description, it doesn't have an easy replacement for the enable/option button. I had to MANUALLY carefully cut off the original option/release buttons for the replacements to work. After cropping to the appropriate size, it works perfectly. However, it won't happen if you don't trim it properly, and it will officially ruin that part of the controller. You will always need replacement/old versions of option/select buttons. It didn't bother me though because I bought this controller specifically to replace those buttons. The only thing that really bothers me is how the buttons/dpad are offset. PS4 CONTROLLER. Otherwise SWEET.
