Weirdly I find that a standard PS4 controller is better for playing MKX than this battle mat. I'm more accurate with combos/specials and the buttons are more responsive. I also play better with Hori FC4. The cross is incredibly small, but it still works. I like the buttons but wish they were a bit bigger (Hori FC4 got it right). I have a small quality issue as the L2 button needs to be pressed a little harder than the R2 button to activate it. It's not a big problem as I'm still banging buttons frantically during gameplay. Also, the paint on the square button came off after about 2 days. Strangely, the other buttons are fine. Summary: For MKX, use Dual Shock 4. For all other fighting games, use Hori FC4.
