First I bought a cheaper one that worked well and had a metal body. Second, you must connect the cable directly to the battery or you will have shielding issues that will ruin your portable radio. This is a known issue so I don't know why the device is still being sold without a fix for this issue. I don't know why it doesn't have a metal case. I don't know why there is no lightning protection. Okay, now the good parts. It's very light. I have a strip of dark factory tint on top of the windshield that shows through, no problems. Super Take Down works well and bright. Connect this to a Fenix controller and just plug in the light bar, super takedown and pattern change switches. If you want to use takedowns, you need the value button. I have contacted STL and will update my installer once we figure out what the problem is.
