I put them on a wire metal shelf and they roll very smoothly. The softness of inline skates and the size is large enough to walk quite a bit without loops. Better than port shipping options and actually more economical. I was totally impressed with my purchase and would highly recommend it, ESPECIALLY for threaded floor shelving.
