First I want to know the following about this flashlight, so I hope these brief descriptions will help.1. This flashlight really works! 2. Wear clear glasses with UV protection.3. This flashlight has a wavelength of 380-385 which I have read is the best for this application. Also, here is my story. I had a UV flashlight many years ago and it didn't work so I hesitated to order another one. I did a lot of research on wavelengths, light color etc and PeeDar2.0 covered all my needs. I have a dog and was about to get a dog that wasn't fully home trained. I didn't want him pissing on the previous spots so I wanted to get out before the foster dog came. When I turned off the light and turned on the flashlight, he saw every stain of urine, spilled food, and speck of dust. I was horrified. I looked in every room and found stains in strange places that I didn't know about. I thought my bathrooms were clean, but PeeDar showed me they weren't! My adopted dog pooped in my living room and of course stepped on it and walked around. The flashlight showed paw prints on my tile floor. It was all a fiasco but PeeDar saved my sanity. Instead of hoping I cleaned everything, PeeDar showed me if the stains were gone or if I still needed to clean. It doesn't work well on white surfaces so there were no stains on my cream carpet, but when I turned it over it showed everything! It also works when there is still light in the room. You need to know what you're looking for and keep your flashlight close to the surface. A question of security. I started cleaning the areas while holding the flashlight but it was small and kept falling and shining it in my eyes. Even when it shines on white objects, it's very bright. I was a little afraid of it, so I contacted the manufacturer and asked if it could harm my eyes. They reacted very quickly. They were friendly and really cared about their product and their customers. They suggested that it would be good to wear clear UV goggles when using the flashlight for a long period of time. I wish it was in the description because I would order them together. I gave them 5 stars because it was a big help for me and it worked great! I would highly recommend this flashlight but please wear clear UV glasses.
