I wrote another review for these guys yesterday but didn't see it posted so I'm writing another one today because they deserve it. I used a Hunter Products plating kit which includes handy plating pen applicators for plating. The handles serve as an anode or positive connection to the power supply and 4 handles are included; These are a degreaser, nickel, silver and a 24k gold plating pin. About 1 year ago we used the kit and the gold pen was dry to the bone. We bought a replacement for $130 and used it 1 time for very little work. I used it last week and it was as dry as before. What's interesting is that the other pens still contain quite a bit of solution and have never been replaced. Due to my disappointment with this dry applicator I was looking again for another concealing product and came across these wonderful people at Gold Plating Services. I bought a 4 ounce bottle of their 24k Brush Plating Gold for $99.00 with the idea of rejuvenating a dried out 24k gold applicator. I drilled a small hole in the top of the handle. Using a syringe, I poured a bunch of distilled water into it to rinse it out and waited for it to dry. I injected 2.5ml of new gold solution (see photo), and then sealed the drilled hole with tape. Then I turned on the power supply, set it to the recommended 4 volts and started plating. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how good the results are! It's great that I found a new resource for quality cover solutions. What's particularly great about my purchase is that it's 4 oz. The bottle allows me to refill the galvanic pen more than 20 times! Stop spending $130 on a dried up gold applicator every time. These guys are saving me $$$ and the gilding results are amazing, especially compared to what I've used before.
