In my opinion the Thetford Curve 550 is the best portable toilet you can get, but because it's bigger and more comfortable than others, with a full fresh water tank it's really really heavy and tends to get heavy when transporting to fall over . This simple floorplate completely eliminates the problem (unless you're driving like a maniac, get into an accident or something). It attaches to any hardwood floor in a minute or two with the included screws, and can be installed on just about any type of floor by a reasonably experienced person with the right hardware. The Curve toilet attaches to it by simply pressing down on a small lever that protrudes from under the front of the panel. When latched, the toilet is very secure and cannot fall off during transport or roll across the floor when flushed or bumped. This makes it much safer and more confident to use. It's almost as comfortable as sitting on your favorite throne at home. No toilet is allowed to move freely, as if it has a will of its own. Humans have other priorities when dealing with their most personal affairs, and they don't have to worry about the toilet slipping or even falling off. To unlock and remove for maintenance or storage, simply pull the lever and raise the toilet. The lever works with a firm "click" that lets you know everything is in place and properly aligned. The affordability of this base plate is another reason to buy the Thetford Curve 550 portable toilet over the competition.
