Review on ๐Ÿšด Bell Air High Volume Bike Pump by Eric Garron

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large capacity pump ideal for mountain bike tires

This Bell pump appears to be quite solid and well built. The top of the pump has clips for storing the hose and a hanger on the back of the pump for hanging on the wall. It is very suitable for low-pressure mountain bike tires. It took only 14 times to inflate a 26 inch mountain bike tire from dead flat (new tube) to 30psi. It was very easy to inflate to this pressure. The pressure gauge on the pump reads up to 100psi, but I suspect a higher pressure would be difficult. This large bore pump is designed for high volume, not high pressure. I'm not sure how accurate the pressure gauge is. On a tire I inflated the gauge read about 20psi, but when I checked with another gauge it read 30psi. I released some air and tried again. This time the gauge on the pump read 30 which is consistent with my other gauge. The gauge may just need a break-in, but I'll still check it with a separate gauge to be sure. Many pumps that support Presta and Schrader valves require disassembly and reassembly of the connector to switch between valve types .This Bell pump allows connection to any type of valve by simply plugging the valve into the appropriate hole in the pump head. Overall this is a great low pressure tire pump. The only thing I do complain about is the accuracy of the pressure gauge, but that can improve if the pump is used.
