The small red fans were very dark, almost brownish red. The larger one was lit pink. I also got yellow and blue which looked much better although they had different flaws. One package was missing a fan and Revane sent me a new package. Another package had thin spots on the fan that made it look translucent and another had small holes. We used them for a kids birthday party and hung them high so they worked great during the day but probably wouldn't recommend. Yes, and the laces are short and all the same length, so I had to add sewing thread to get different hanging lengths.
