I've been needing a high-quality air purifier for a long time. And I found it in Shark HE601. I have used Shark vacuums for many years and am happy with them. So when I found out that Shark makes air purifiers I knew it was going to be a quality product. I have asthma and am always looking for ways to remove anything that might trigger an attack. I install the best rated filter I can get in my air conditioner/oven and also clean and dust it. Therefore, a quality air purifier is essential. Bought two of these air purifiers. One for my bedroom and one for the living room. Each room is on opposite sides of the house. First, setup is easy. From unpacking to starting it took 5-10 minutes. Second. They work! As it turned out, my time testing them was the best. There's a great fire burning 100 miles from here, and the whole valley where I live is drenched in smoke from that fire. I turned on the devices and each of them showed 90% clean air. I switched the fan speed to level 3 (best for allergy sufferers) and within an hour each unit was showing 100% air quality. Then I put the device in automatic mode. As a result, the device can be set as required for continuous monitoring and, if necessary, cleaning. The air purity in my house has never dropped below 99%. And I can tell the difference. My eyes don't sting like they used to. And no sneezing. I sneezed in my house after receiving them. In addition, they are quiet. On fan setting 1 I can only hear it when I get close to it and nothing makes noise like the TV. At 4 it's no louder than a fan you might use at home. Speaking of fans, this device has 6 fans that pull air out from the back of the device through the filter and out the sides. Therefore, the device must not stand against a wall and the sides must be clean. The filter is easy to replace and is said to last 4400 hours. The device counts down the filter life. I haven't been able to find any new filters yet, but this is the Shark. I suspect they will be available before I need a replacement filter as Sharks is a fairly reputable company. I suspect the lack of stock is due to this model not having been on the market for long. This unit can be controlled from the dashboard on the top of the unit or just the remote control. Does not connect to the Internet via WiFi. There is no app to use. While that may be a good thing, it wasn't a requirement for me. All in all a great air purifier. I doubt you will be disappointed. I know it wasn't.
