MacOS El Capitan. Instructions followed: driver installed, connected, restarted. Rebooted to be safe. Doesn't work at all. My debug: The TV sees the presence of HDMI: when I unplug the USB end, the TV goes from all black to no signal. Mac sees the device: It complains that I didn't eject it properly. But if everything is plugged in properly and rebooted (like at startup), the Mac doesn't see a monitor. If you go to System Preferences > Display, there's nothing there (except CinemaDisplay on the Displayport). The driver software is started: ktext is bound and the screen capture daemon processes are running. They just don't work at all.
