It lacks any real softness or comfort you would expect from a kid's shoe.
Inside there is an elastic band that keeps the shoes on the foot. This bandage dug into my daughter's leg and rubbed it until it bled. The shoes are definitely not too tight as I had to tug at the straps and tie them to get them on. There is no fabric or coating, so this happens regardless of how the shoe fits.

- The pink color and bow design may not suit all boys and girls, limiting their style choices.
