I don't want to guess anything but since I got this I've had some weird and horrifying coincidences. At first I needed it as a temporary separator to acclimate the new fish to the community. I have also used it on pregnant platies. Every time I put it in one of my tanks the fish die. Usually guppies. Pay once an adult. As you can see, the net is attached to the aquarium with four suction cups. There is enough space between the grid and the glass for roasts or small fish. They cannot turn back once they get stuck and even when I put them in the middle of a wall the fish always seemed to get stuck. After catching and releasing a guppy there for the first time, I checked on it several times a day. Well, it's not safe for nighttime use. Because then they get stuck and you're not there to free them. I must have found 3 dead guppies between the net and the wall and 1 play figure when using this in different aquariums. I tried removing the suction cups and clipping them to the wall but it wasn't secure. Once when I tried to use it for its intended purpose (allowing my pet to give birth), she refused to leave her children and simply terminated the pregnancy. It must have been the stress of being separated from your group, although that didn't happen in clean maternity wards. Overall, I do not recommend this product for small fish. This will probably work if you have larger fish, but then the product size will be too small. After losing 4 fish and getting blue chicks pregnant; I will no longer use it.
