I bought a fairly sophisticated wireless microphone system with a receiver and two transmitters to which a lavalier microphone could be connected. own microphone, I happened to read the rave reviews about it from Sony. I decided I could buy and use these instead of the ones that came with the mic. They are essentially condenser mics, meaning they pick up a lot more ambient noise than dynamic ones. I really had to take that into account when I used them for an interview with two people last week. The microphones basically picked up a lot of ambient noise during the interviews. I ended up having to use a noise filter when editing my video to remove that extra sound. Perhaps this mic did exactly what it was designed to do. However, for use in interviews, I think a microphone that focuses more on the person's voice than the ambient noise in the room is a better choice.
