God forbid you drop them.
These are clip cases. They should be strong enough for normal wear and tear. They appear to have a thick plastic cover, but the plastic is so brittle that it can crack and break with the slightest impact on the floor or counter. I broke both of mine because they are so fragile. They seem sturdy - don't let that fool you, they break very easily.
