I bought this shade for an odd shaped kitchen window over my sink (39" x 39"). I had to be able to black out as I live in Las Vegas and we get over 110 degree days. These blackouts are also insulated and are very effective at blocking a lot of heat. It was in a standard Amazon box upon unboxing/unpacking and inside was a clear package with the lampshade neatly folded. There were some creases due to the creases so you may need to steam/iron before hanging. Since I collected and linked them, I just left everything as it is. (After 4 days the wrinkles were smoothed out). The fabric is soft, supple but quite dense and feels like microsuede. The bushings are well finished and have a shiny chrome color (if you want satin or nickel tin colors this won't do). The color says Royal Purple but it's more of a plum color. I love it no matter what, but if your going for Royal Purple this isn't the case. I also have their curtain panels for my sliding glass door and my living room picture window and I also have curtain panels in my 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. I liked the quality so much. I am planning to buy the last pair for the master bedroom and we will be using Nicetown curtains throughout our home. I highly recommend!
