I really like these shoes and thought that most of the reviews are accurate. I would not use these as running shoes because they don't have a lot of support. They are great for running errands or with a causal outfit. I would go to the gym with these but just not for running, I need more supportive shoes for that. I love to walk and would use these for short light walks. I think it's a great deal for the price and they look very nice. Yes, they are "chunkier" looking than slim and they are a little roomier than most shoes in this size for me. Overall it is true to size, I wear an 8 and these fit well just a little roomy.
