I decided to make some shirts of my own. I ordered two charcoal gray shirts and these dark shirt decals. I read about using flat irons online and thought I was ready to delve into shirt making. Reading the instructions will tell you not to flip or flip the image. Simply load paper, print, cut and get started. cold beans. I was good at it. I forgot to cut before cleaning. Guilty. Then it cuts easily. It doesn't stick. I placed it on my shirt, put parchment paper on top and was ready to iron. And the boy I petted. This gave you time for different image sizes. I only used all the leaflet instructions for a while (it wasn't a full leaf, but it wasn't a small one and I wanted to make sure it stuck). It's time for revelation. After waiting for everything to cool down a bit, I peeled off the parchment paper and my image was definitely there. It worked. However, it also irons on a white background, which I actually didn't want or expect. The instructions never said to cut out the image entirely, only around the corners so the transfer would hold better. So because I was in a hurry to remove the skin and get down to business, and then had to cut, my cuts weren't entirely even. It doesn't look terrible and is still wearable, but I was hoping that only the printed image would stick to the shirt. Again, I'm new and have never done this before. I'm interested, thermal transfer films work better for lightweight shirts and are more transparent. After learning that, I made a shirt for our little farmhouse and worked with a white background to make it look nice. The cuts were better and I'm happy with the result. I also made a shirt for my son, this time cutting out the images completely and then ironing them. All three t-shirts look good and can be worn. Just note that if you don't cut out the entire image (which the exacto knife means if it's detailed) there will also be a white background that will carry over with your printed material. Still a pretty cool product. The cuts were better and I'm happy with the result. I also made a shirt for my son, this time cutting out the images completely and then ironing them.
