I went with an all plastic flush lever because the metal (brass?) in my old toilet was rusted and falling apart . I lived with a lid on my toilet tank and just pulled on the chain for a week until I decided to order from Revain as I didn't have time to go to the store. Be careful when ordering a new lever with the right angle. Looks like my old one was at that angle but I had to unscrew the tube to put this one in and then the top didn't sit flat. Also note that for the left arm at least, the plastic nut holding it is not loose. Try turning it the other way before sanding the corners like I did. It's flimsy plastic but it took a week for the plumber to tell me I needed to buy a new toilet - my cheap toilet was 11 years old and had other rusted parts causing rusty water to pool on the floor.
