The containers are made of thick, durable plastic and do not bend. Perfect for hand washing large sweaters and I needed something to soak the cloths to remove stains. I couldn't find the right containers at the right price for me. I've always found small foot tubs with flexible sides for a lower price. It's ok for other things, but I wanted a hard universal basket and that's it. This is the perfect size for laying napkins flat. I didn't notice any bulges or protruding pieces of plastic during production that could snag my sweaters. I also used one of them to transport documents when I couldn't find the box. This is a good versatile box that can be used for more than just transporting dishes. I could use it for art supplies and to soak watercolor paper. So many possibilities.
