This is the fifth car I have bought in many, many years driving my littles across the US. They serve from 8 months to a year and a half, but using old parts from defective parts will extend their life. Because they are held in the air vents, I either smack them with my hand or, more commonly, the dog slams them when jumping into the front seat when left in a chilly car to press the little buttons built into the Air vents go a bit. I don't see how this problem could be solved without making the bracket flush with the vent, which I don't want. This air vent mount holds my phone securely, won't fall out of the air vent, and can pivot and stick out enough. that I can see it with just a movement of my eyes. I use it for navigation even though my car has satnav because it's easier to see and answer or hang up when I'm at a traffic light or something.
