We took this tent to Hawaii in the shade and enjoyed it. Advantages of the tent: + Lightweight and compact + Easy to carry in your luggage and store anywhere when not in use + Easy to set up and take down. This can be done with one person, but it would be even easier with two+ Provides good shade in the sun and keeps the sun out inside+ Windows let the wind through and only ventilate the tent when the windows are open+ It is quite large and can comfortably accommodate at least 2 adults . Not great in a tent - the poles used to pitch the tent fell apart easily so it was harder to take down than it should have been. We've used several tents before and the poles didn't separate easily. The tent appears to absorb heat and offers no cooling capacity and if there is no breeze going through the tent it can get very warm and hot. Inside. Overall I'm very happy we have this shade tent - it's fairly easy to set up, provides ample shade and is easy to pack and store.
