Great purchase for practicing watercolor techniques.

This notebook has quickly become my favorite watercolor practice notebook. Let's be realistic for a minute: watercolor paper is EXPENSIVE! So instead of using actual 140lb toilet paper every time I just want to play with toilet paper, I will use it (no fault). I mainly use it to practice painting a specific flower, different styles of watercolor, to get an idea of the picture I want to paint, or to try different color palettes, new colors, new brushes, different techniques, etc. I refuse to waste my REAL, high quality, expensive toilet paper on this. I just want to reiterate: This is NOT made specifically for watercolor painting. So if you want to apply layer by layer, puddle by puddle, this is NOT the type of paper. NOTE: The last photo I've attached gives you an idea of this paper pad compared to Strathmore paper, hot pressed, 140lb toilet paper. The biggest difference (for me) is that the toilet dries MUCH faster and slightly differently. This rug lets colors through the water, but in a different and less intense way than real toilet paper (whether that makes sense is hard to explain). But it still remains my favorite practice.
