We first ordered this unit in December and attempted to install the product on our out of state rental. We could not get the DVR to log in. We were trying to deal with customer service and the big problem was that they are in China in a different time zone and only communicate with me via email. So it would take over 24 hours for someone to email me with question after question. I replied and 24 hours later received the next question or step in an attempt to resolve our issue. We only visit this hotel once a month for 2 days so it was causing all sorts of problems just trying to get the device to start. The instruction manual didn't match what we saw on screen, giving general instructions like "adjust recording settings". Well, what are these options, on which screen and in what order do we do it? We were never able to get the DVR to log in - most likely it was a return that someone had already programmed into their password, so it just didn't reset or accept our password. I canceled Zosi customer service and went to Revain who said to order a new setup and then put the faulty dash cam back in that package and sent it back which we did. We got a new set and took out his DVR and he logged on fine. So we ran all the cables, installed all the cameras (very annoying as the screws fall out easily when you raise your arm above your head) and now all we can do is live stream in our phone app and live stream in See hotel - nothing will happen. write down. We tried to follow the instructions but they are so poorly written. And to top it off, the hotel video is clear, but the live video on our phones is terrible - I can't make out license plates or people's faces - although I can if I look at the monitor inside the hotel. Customer service advises that I don't have strong enough wifi in my office - this is crazy as we have commercial wifi to transfer huge drawing files - We have strong enough wifi! Without a clear remote image, the system is useless to me. I am contacting support again and we are sending the same email back and forth and I keep explaining that I need help NOW as I am only at the property for 2 days and then it will be weeks before I am back. You do not understand. So I make an extra trip to the property to find out - no luck, I still can't record it despite having a 2TB hard drive. Finally, the email says that the drive they inserted into the device is not formatted. So I exit again and format the drive. Now it seems to be recording on the DVR property, and guess what? Now we can't even get live streaming on our phone apps! We keep disconnecting, please try again, error messages! I really don't understand the reviews saying the customer service was great - that was NOT my experience. I actually chose this system brand because of their 24/7 customer support. Customer service is NOT in our time zone - it's in Asia so it's a CONFIRMATION to get 24/7 responses while they advertise on their site. When I told them help is available 24/7, they told me that means they have 24 hours to reply to me! I said no in the US, that means you are available 24 hours a day to answer me! Nobody there offered to send me a new block, which was an obvious solution, not days of trying to reset the block and using universal passwords. And now I'm asking them for my money back, and they keep sending me emails telling me to go to my department and try to download the software so they can test it remotely - well, how said I'm not in my department but once a month and since they take at least 24 hours to email me it will literally take me a year to figure out what's going on! So far after 4 months of trying to install a security system in our rental property we are neither impressed nor surprised - our EZVIZ system in our home and other complexes is sooo much clearer and relatively easy to set up compared to this nightmare. I request a return and purchase of another EZVIZ system. Wish me luck - now it's a long way from the return window.
