Great alternative to the old cooked chicken rice diet

My new dog traveled from his previous home (owner's disapproval) to the sanctuary at my home within 30 days. Needless to say he was stressed and switched from one food to another which resulted in the pup having terrible diarrhea. He was dewormed and I tried pumpkin to fix his poop but it stayed runny. I bought and cooked pounds of chicken and fed him with and without pumpkin for about a week but the problem persisted. After a week of cooking over 10 pounds of chicken and about 100 ounces of rice, I was done. There must be something else I haven't done. I purchased UTW Salmon Diet dog food while exploring other options. He tolerated this food very well and it was really easy to prepare. Ultimately, switching to Diamond Care for Sensitive Stomach and adding a probiotic to his daily diet (actually a UTW probiotic) solved the problem (he now gets regular meals with a daily dose of Under the Weather probiotic. Diarrhea is eliminated. It was nice to have under the weather soft food under the hand to save me the trouble of cooking chicken, rice and reheating for each meal, the ingredients are very limited and well tolerated, for any future needs as it does not take up space and It's also a good filling for regular dog food, even if your pup doesn't have a sensitive stomach issue, as it's cheaper than most with quality ingredients.
