Review on πŸ‘œ Barrel Shape Crossbody Bag: Small Bucket Cylinder Phone Bag for Women with Shoulder Strap by Patty Yenbamroong

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not quite eco-friendly but water repellent

This is how recycled Tyvek (e.g. postal envelopes, race numbers etc.) can be made into garments so I bought this bag but I don't think it's recycled. Tyvek is simply Tyvek, and Tyvek itself is not biodegradable, and most Tyvek is not made from recycled plastic unless it is labeled as such. I know Tyvek is owned by Dupont and this may be why the bag is unmarked. So if you want to buy it for those who love sustainability, this bag is not for you. But if you're looking for a slim bag with plenty of room, look no further than a waterproof bag. That's it. The bag itself looks great. I'm surprised at the quality of the parts; The handles and label inside make for a great presentation, especially since Tyvek isn't a very good material (it's crumpled). It comes with a nice long strap so you can wear it as a crossbody bag. The label inside is a bit inconsistent because it says we don't buy it, but Tyvek is waterproof. All in all, this was intended as a gift for an eco-friendly friend, but I'm keeping it for myself as a lightweight diaper bag. Love the zippers and it has multiple compartments inside and when I'm done I'll definitely send it to the Tyvek recycling center as Tyvek can't be recycled with paper.
