Not overly impressed but it does the job.

Let me preface that I installed Ikea roller blinds before I bought these, so in a way I had some expected standards when I bought them. That being said, the shades I had prior to installation were NOT blackout shades but privacy shades which is why I bought them so I can block the sun in the middle of spring and summer as my office faces the sun rises right in front of mine in the afternoon home Now that it isn't. These blinds did not impress me. The first thing I noticed when I unpacked them was that the edges of the frames were plastic, I can live with that, but the bad thing was that the red thank you card that was inserted severely damaged the plastic on the frames , do not ask I like, but that literally happened. On all three blinds I've ordered, where the card was closest to one end of the shades, it rubbed against the plastic and stained it a little red. To remove some of that I had to do some elbow work and really try to add some friction with the microfiber and remove it as best I could. Cosmetically the blinds are fine but considering they cost more than the Ikea blinds I had. They are so simple that Ikea blinds had stoppers built into the frames and the way they rolled was sooooo smooth. On these blinds the mechanical folding function feels relatively cheap and no matter how much I adjusted the folding tension it was too fast and if it were slow enough it wouldn't always roll all the way up. Path. Having said that I wouldn't buy these blinds again but they do the job and block the sun very well and work ok for the price hence 3 stars. **UPDATE 4/8/19** So I've had these blinds for a few weeks now. Still sticking to most of what I said to be honest and they do a good job of shielding the sun but the added star is for customer support. Liz from Sunfree contacted me about 4 days after purchase to ask if I would like a curtain replaced for free. Of course I used Liz and Sunfree and just a day after I emailed Liz she gave me a tracking number for a new shade that was shipped. The new shades didn't suffer from the red spots on the frame like the shades originally ordered, but they still roll up too quickly in my opinion. Anyway, good customer service, thanks for replacing the blinds, Liz and Sanfri!
