This is so beautiful and beautifully designed. It has a transparent zip panel at one end and at the top. Both can be opened with Velcro or closed securely with a zipper. Both have solid panels that close with Velcro to completely hide the transparent panels. There are also quarter-sized vents on each side of the wallet, so don't worry about closing the bag all the way if you need to be careful. There are pockets big enough to stash supplies, including the included collapsible water bowl! The handles are long enough to carry over the shoulder and the bag fits comfortably around the mid-waist. A wide detachable shoulder strap was included. The bag is super cute. My ferret liked it. As soon as I opened the side panel and left it open, she ran right in and dropped to wallow in it. She likes to sleep in a suitcase in her free time, so she automatically understood the purpose of this bag. Medium is large enough to stretch with little room for length and height. The bottom has a removable textured panel to keep it from collapsing under his weight. I was pleased with the quality of this bag for the $30 price.
