I really like these headphones. I'm one of those guys who loves extra bass and for me they need a little more oomph, but that's just me. Another personal complaint I have is that they don't block out outside noise very well. I had 10's and thought they blocked outside noise better and gave me more bass. If you're not the type who likes it when the bass is too heavy, you should be happy. The sound is crystal clear so you hear everything which is great. You seem to be a bit gluttonous for my Fiio X3 player. I listened to them at 1/2 volume on the Soundmagic 10s, but I need them at about 3/4 volume on these. I was considering interchangeable cord headphones as this is why I'm replacing my old 10s, but I liked the Soundmagic brand's sound and was afraid others wouldn't sound as good, so I went with these.
