Review on Hagen 6 Pack AquaClear Aquarium Filter by Debbie Jones

I use them for two purposes: to calm the overflow in my 300 gallon tank (which also offers a biological filter area as an added bonus) and to create a barrier in the sump between the first two filter chambers and a reversible pump chamber (large surface). They are cool! Provides more surface area and largely prevents snails and other "debris" from entering the return chamber, effectively protecting an expensive pump. They're also easy to trim to size (which I did to fit around the top of the overflow) and they don't fall apart in the process. I am more than satisfied with these filter sponges. Although I use them for personal use I think they will be just as great in their intended use. Highly recommended!
