Overall the WL5 is very suitable for controlling my RGB (color) LED strips. But there are a few things worth paying attention to. I have included some photos of the wiring I took as there is very little detail in the instructions on how to wire it. I chose to make pigtails out of some extra cords I had rather than breaking the extension cords I ran to the LED strips to keep everything plug and play. The wire colors in the extension cable (different brand) have nothing to do with the pins on the LED strip (different brand). For example, the red wire is NOT a red LED. I would have thought that this was all standardized, but apparently it isn't. Anyway, the photos I've included show how I figured it out for the LED strip and cables I had. I had to sacrifice a cable by cutting the rubber boot on the wires so I could see what colors go to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pins of the connector. on this in led land. The app works very well - you can control the color, brightness, etc. There are also different lighting effects that make the light brighter and mimic things like sunset etc. The app isn't perfect though - renaming WL5 (i.e. if you have more than one) is done by swiping left on the list within the app, as opposed to the menu controlling EVERYTHING else in it. I had to google to find out. I was unable to connect the remote control (model FUT096) to the WL5, but I will change the batteries in the remote control and try again. The instructions for the remote control aren't very clear either, but that's a product review for another day.
