They're great as long as you don't want to see them
I've started plugging them in as lights when I go camping as I like to stash stuff under my truck when I'm away. Just take a flashlight. These things are the equivalent of a BIC lighter during a tropical storm if you're trying to use them for visibility. I connected two and didn't mess around with the other 8. I have several other stone lanterns that I have hooked up to my footrest lights that cost less than these and dominate them in every way. Unless you're crazy about very dull colors.
