Bought for the car and as a last resort. I sit in the car for an hour every day and I don't want to keep the air conditioning on all the time. I like that it runs on both D batteries (8 total) and rechargeable batteries. It comes with an optional stand, car charger and wall charger. If you have batteries it's pretty heavy being super portable but still great for camping and more. When plugged in it uses DC power, and when unplugged it uses rechargeable batteries first (which last about 5 hours on a low charge) and then batteries D. I was surprised at how much air this thing vents even when it's low even. A few months after I bought it, the functionality of the D batteries stopped working. I contacted their support team who were very helpful and quickly resolved my issue.
